Auglaize Co Crisis Center

Linda only learned about this event the night before, but she urged Henry to show up (he was sleeping in his tulip bed and didn’t want to be disturbed!)

But, Henry agreed to show up for this charity event. Pictures of the auction are shown below -

The bidding kept going and going. First fifty dollars, then $60... “Do I hear seventy five?”, cried the auctioneer.

The bids went even higher as Henry got into the crowd and drew them into the bidding... after all, this was for the Crisis Center... (Henry found himself in a crisis as you may remember in the book!)

One hundred dollars, one hundred twenty five!!! The bids went higher.

One hundred thirty five, one hundred forty! The excitement grew - our own home town author and her Henry were right here willing to sign this very famous book.

One hundred fifty, then one hundred fifty-five! The crowd was really getting into it!

Finally at one hundred sixty dollars the book was sold to the highest bidder!

What a night for Linda and for Henry and for the Crisis Center, too!
